Yahoo, Inc. said it’s launching a new logo for its internet properties.
The logo is an emoji of a man with a sailboat, and it appears in various forms including on products and other materials, the company said in a statement.
It has also been used in marketing material and has been used by companies like Yahoo, the World Bank and United Airlines, Yahoo said.
The logo can also be used in text and images, the statement said.
The company said the new logo is “designed to give Yahoo a bold, modern and contemporary look and feel.”
It will be available to download from the Yahoo website for a limited time and will also be available through an ad network.
The first look at the new Yahoo logo, which will be offered as a download, was released Wednesday and the company plans to roll out the logo worldwide by the end of the year, Yahoo added.
The announcement comes at a time when internet companies are struggling to maintain relevance with consumers.
The internet is a vast, diverse space that encompasses the entire globe, but Yahoo has struggled to compete with other companies in recent years, as it struggles to keep pace with new platforms like Facebook, Google and others.
Yahoo has struggled for years to find ways to keep up with Facebook’s online presence.
It recently rolled out a social network called My Yahoo, and now Yahoo is launching a social hub, Yahoo Finance, on which users can buy and sell stocks and invest in bonds.
